Wynton Marsalis discusses the origins behind upcoming release Swing Symphony

Out July 1 from Blue Engine Records, it's Swing Symphony, recorded by the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis and the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra conducted by David Robertson. The first audio recording of Marsalis's Symphony No.3 finds two of the country's premier orchestras plumbing the depths of American orchestral music to concoct a thrilling and stylistically daring soundtrack of the 20th century.
